Match 7 : Hyderabad edge out Bangalore in super over.
Tag IPL-2013
How to complete an easy win with utmost dificulty? learn from Sunrisers Hyaderabad in this match who had bowled brilliantly and restricted Royal Challengers Bangalore to a moderate total but couldn't score the winning run. Then, with world wide audiences glued to the television, Hyderabad snatched away the super over and managed full two points of this game seven..

Electing to bat first, Bangalore just couldn't get going. Captain Sangakkara's trick to bowl known identity Hanuma Vihari with the new ball worked as he claimed prized wicket of Chris Gayle off the first ball and then Tillakaratne Dilshan failed second time in a row. In-form leg spinner Amit Mishra trapped Karun Nair in front of wicket and now pressure was all back on captain Virat Kohli's shoulders. With Moises Henriques who was making his IPL debut, Virat added valuable 43 runs but perished trying to accelerate. Henriques batted till the last over but lack of fire-power in the lower middle order left visitors to a smaller target than they would have once wanted.

Debutant Henriques did the job with the new ball too, claiming wickets of Parthiv Patel and Cameron White, ensuring home team batted with patience. Akshath Reddy and Hanuma Vihari collected 28 runs while the latter added 33 with captain Sangakkara but wickets kept on coming from RCB with Jaidev Unadkat and R Vinay Kumar doing the damage. Vihari batted with desire but couldn't get the 7 runs required off the last over. Only 5 were scored and we had a tie which unfolded as below.
