Mind you, no more than six runs you can make off a single ball (unless it's a no-ball which will make it 7 runs off 1 ball). For Twenty20 matches, teams tend to select players with ability to the send ball out of the ground.
This gives us one obvious question == which batsman has hit most sixes in T20 cricket?
Brendon McCullum of New Zealand held the record before his retirement, until Chris Gayle of West Indies broke it on 16 March 2016 and since then owns it. Shane Watson or David Warner of Australia or Yuvraj Singh of India may catch up Gayle in days to come but for now, Windies blaster is going strong. Also watch out for Martin Guptill and Umar Akmal who too can catch up in time to come.
Note : Yuvraj Singh of India is the only batsman to hit 6 sixes in one over during his fastest T20 fifty. he did it against Stuart Broad of England on 19 September 2007 at Durban in South Africa.
Note : following list is limited to cricketers who have hit more than 50 sixes in their T20 cricket career..
