Commented by Binit on 24 Sep, 2010Sachin Tendulkar holds the record of most century by a batsman against a certain opposition, with his 9 tons against Australia. now, your question demands Glenn McGrath should have been part of that Aussie eleven against whom Sachin scored a hundred and the answer is yes, but just once. And Hitesh's answer is correct.. that match was played at Nehru stadium in Indore on 31st March 2001.
Opening the innings, Tendulkar made 139 from 125 balls with 19 fours while VVS Laxman contributed 83 as India piled up 299 runs on board after being invited in to bat first and won the match comfortably by 118 runs. McGrath took 3 wickets in his 10 overs, conceeding 52 runs.
This is surely a well thoughtout question cause McGrath was real Sachin Tendulkar nemesis and his efforts meant Tendulkar couldn't make a single ton versus Aussies for 22 consecutive matches between 2003 to 2008.
