There have been many cricketers with quality education like Anil Kumble and Javagal Srinath of India were engineers from top colleges in Bangalore and even helped Indian team when computers first came into team analysis and I read former Aussie fast bowler Geoff Lawson is an optometrist. Kumar Sangakkara, Sri Lankan captain, is a lawyer while Pakistani legend Imran Khan has a second class degree in Politics and third in Economics from Oxford University. former New Zealand captain Stephen fleming, i hear, has masters degree in arts.

It's difficult to find out which cricketer is how much educated. those who play at international level, know their talent at a very young age and hence concentrate on sporting abilities than books. Having said that, some cricketers who come from smaller nations like Holland, Ireland and others have more chances of higher education cause they're not professsionals. I guess you knew all this already and I promise to keep looking in for more information and update here.

To the best of my knowledge, Imran Khan does not have a PhD from Oxford; he only studied there as an undergraduate.

Surely one of the most highly educated cricketers is Mike Brearley, ex-England captain, who studied for 7 years at Cambridge University, as undergraduate and graduate student, and is a qualified psychotherapist and psychoanalyst. He also has an Honorary Fellowship at Cambridge and an Honorary Doctorate at Oxford Brookes University. His "Art of Captaincy" is widely regarded as the best book on cricket captaincy.

Hahahaha..... what about few cricketers who can't speak at all not of stage fear but lack of education, ex. Inzamam, javed from Pakistan, Shikhar from India: obviously none will be from other countries as their major language would be English obviously

It's no where related to education, but cricketing skills which matters, no doubt, Inzamam, Javed for Pakistan and Shikhar have done well for India in their days.

Ashwin holds a B.Tech degree from SSN college and Srikkanth holds a BE degree from College of Engg Guindy . VVS Laxman gave up his medical studies to focus on cricket . Past cricketers Venkatraghavan and Prasanna are also qualified engineers . May be Engineers are good at off spin .
